Wearing and Cleaning Clear Aligners
This guide provides general aftercare information. Follow the individual instructions from the dentist who treated you. Contact the clinic about new or worsening symptoms.
Wear the aligners for the daily duration and in the sequence prescribed. Do not move to the next stage early to speed up treatment. If wear has been interrupted or an aligner no longer fits properly, ask for advice before changing stages.
Daily wear & removal
Remove aligners for meals. Follow the instructions about drinks other than plain water while wearing them. Hot water can distort the material. Clean them using products compatible with the manufacturer's instructions; avoid abrasive or unverified substances.
Safe storage & oral hygiene
Store aligners in their protective case whenever they are out of your mouth. Wrapping them in a tissue makes loss or accidental disposal more likely. Keep your teeth and the spaces between them clean so food does not remain trapped beneath the appliance.
Damaged aligners & stage changes
Contact the clinic if an aligner breaks or is lost, an attachment comes off, or the fit changes. Report severe pain or sores. Daily wear, review intervals and stage changes belong to your individual plan; one schedule does not apply to every patient.
